| Born
in Sarnia, Ontario, John Wing has been a stand-up
comedian for over fifteen years. Starting in Toronto,
he has blazed a comedic that includes ten Canadian
provinces as well as thirty-five U.S. states and
several Caribbean island nations. His well over
100 television appearances include NBCs The
Tonight Show (six times)and Friday Night
Videos, A & Es Evening at
the Improv and Carolines Comedy
Hour, Foxs Comic Strip Live
and ABCs Politically Incorrect with
Bill Maher, among others.
His
1993 appearance at the Montreal Just For Laughs
Comedy Festival earned him a Gemini nomination,
Canadas award for excellence in television.
He has appeared four other times at the festival,
leading to Johns one-hour comedy special
for the Comedy Network, John Wing-Fly Me,
which was taped in 1998. His second hour special
for the network, John Wing-A Love Story,
will air this fall.
John
is also an accomplished writer and has written
for the UPN series Breaker High, E!
Networks News Weasels, the WB
Network, the Bob and Tom Show, and
The Barbra Streisand Millennium Concert.
Johns first collection of poetry, A
Cup of Nevermind, was published in 1998
by Mosaic Press. His second collection, ...And
The Fear Makes Us Special, came out in 2000.
He has a third collection due in 2002, titled
None of This is Probably True.
John
lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two daughters.
He speaks fluent English.
